Short funeral services were held in St. Patrick’s Catholic church at Akron on Tuesday at 11 a m Fr Chas Ernst officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery at Akron. The many friends of Mr and Mrs Kapfer extend sympathy. Born to Mr and Mrs Wayne Lilly a daughter February 4 1938 Mrs Lilly and infant daughter are staying in the A W Hummel home. Mrs John Larken received news of her father’s death in Montana. Friends here extend sympathy. High school boys basketball team to enter county tournament at Merrill Friday afternoon. Mrs Harold Jammerthal left for Rochester Mn for a operative operation. Fred Hartwig family moving to a farm southwest of Akron. Beatrice Chapman of Sioux City spent weekend with aunts Misses Annie and Clara Chapman. Olin Lilly returned to Lamont Ia after illness. Mrs Wm Seyler recently re-

Former resident died February 1, 1038 in Portland Oregon from injuries from last July in an act of accidental. Mrs I D Brugger of Sioux City spent the week in the home of her daughter Mrs Chas Moffatt. Mrs Selunky of Lynden Nebraska was in the area for business. Mr and Mrs Art Rozell attended the funeral of D D Redman in Le Mars Wednesday afternoon.
