Longtime Westfield church leader buried in Logan Park
Thoin Host, known for community service and integrity, built strong neighborhood support during hard times. A Freemason of No. 484 Akron, he served as Sunday school superintendent, township trustee, and school board member. Born August 24, 1879 in Woodbury County, he moved to Westfield in 1892 and married Grace Main in 1908. Surviving are wife Grace, daughter Katharine Brown, and three grandsons. a son Miles Jr and daughter Janet preceded him. Funeral held Thursday at Westfield Congregational Church with burial at Logan Park Cemetery.
