Mre Jos Dalton and daughter Claire visited relatives in Sioux City Tuesday. Mrs Harley Smail and daughter Laura also traveled to Sioux City to visit kin. Clyde Dysard, Carol Jean, A L Seamands and son Keith visited friends in Sioux Falls Sunday. Mrs Ramon Jasperson’s brother Pfc Donald Staska arrived from Florida on furlough and will return to Jacksonville January 2. Mrs George Dalgliesh and daughter from Minneapolis visited Florence Dalgliesh in her home. Cluett Chamberlain and children visited Windom Minnesota over Christmas. Washington dispatch says a United States flag will be presented as a service emblem to the nearest relatives of service members who die in the armed forces under a congressional resolution signed by President Roosevelt. The White House says an executive order authorizes the secretary of war to issue citations in the president’s name to army units for outstanding action. Navy already has this authority. Units will receive streamers or emblems for display and officers and enlisted wear the emblem on their uniforms.
