Festive events mention a Bethel Ladies Aid Christmas grab-bag and a Sioux City air of travel and reunion.
Lake View Extension Club will hold a Christmas party Friday December 12 at the home of Mrs. Clarence Hummel with Mrs. Floyd Fletcher as assistant hostess. Members should bring a gift for a Friendly Neighbor and also Butter nut strips and quilt blocks. Thanksgiving guests included Mr. and Mrs. Dalt Ballinger and others from Jefferson.
Mr and Mrs Porter Maynard and children spent Thanksgiving with Hattie Sayles. Mrs Dalt Ballinger visited Floyd Fletcher home. Dewey Maynard and Delbert joined David Weisenburger in Sioux Dick Baker’s home in Sioux City. Shirley Mansfield Elvina Morse and Dorothy Maynard hosted a bridal shower for Marilyn Meeves at Elvina Morse s home. Sue Mansfield celebrated her fourth birthday with relatives. C A Brady and Charles returned to Ladella California after weeks with relatives. Eldon Eden of Sumter NC are the parents of baby Katherine Elizabeth.
Mr and Mrs Roland Fletcher and family visited the Eldon Smith home Thursday evening. The note mentions a birth on November 10 and identifies Mrs Eden as the former Margaret Henke.
I thank friends and neighbors for cards and kindness during illness. Special thanks to the nurses and Mrs Besse Lias for kind attention while a patient at Akron Hospital. From Mrs Albert Harrington.
