Union Creek News Social and Community Gatherings

Sunday services planned for August 30 at 8 pm. Luther League to meet September 1 at Luther Hall with hosts Mr and Mrs George Adamson and Mr and Mrs Lawrence Ericson. John Ericson and Mrs Selma Willequist visited Mrs Mary Larson in Sioux City. Mrs Larson and Miss Hannah Sellberg will spend a week in the city. Selina Lillequist left for Denver Colorado for employment. Several residents, including Mr and Mrs Arthur Wilcox, Mrs Bessie Wilcox and son Lloyd, and Mr and Mrs Willard Johnson, traveled to Canton South Dakota to visit Ed Wilcox. A Riverside Park picnic was enjoyed by C A Hamilton, Lillian, and others.

A new Midwest wide marketing plan for poultry introduces three quality grades No 1 No 2 and rejects. The scheme, approved by agricultural colleges state agriculture departments and the Department of Agriculture and Inspection, seeks higher prices for No 1 birds by standardizing quality across producers and shippers.
