Latty and the Latty area residents plus Claude Vats Nuys in Brea and Capt. and Mrs Jesse H Gay in San Diego are noted. Mrs Latty will return here in October. At 7 08 David Lilly presents a travelogue on the Iowa State College summer student tour covering about 8000 miles through the southeast to the Atlantic seaboard and back. Regular Congregational services resume Sunday August 26. On Thursday afternoon September 6 a Ladies Aid shower for Addie Jane Lilly precedes the September wedding to Delbert Maynard. The last summer free movie Harlem Globetrotters will be shown September 4.

The Westfield Community School begins the 1986 57 year on Monday August 27. Superintendent Robert J McLean and staff list shows Mrs Richard Philips in Commercial and English, Mrs Dorothy Engle in Home Economics and Science, Norbert Isert as Coach, Ione Lease as band and vocal music, and A Math as teacher to be appointed. Grades will be managed by Mrs Gladys Nielson six and seven, Mrs Doris Campbell five and six, Mrs Ferne Amundson four, Miss Dorothy Seiler three, Mrs Mary Olson second, Mrs Johanna Johnson first, Miss Carol Jean Lehnus kindergarten.

The Tth annual Brotherhood 4-H Fair at Craig drew 1500 to 2000 attendees from Plymouth and Sioux Counties in Iowa and nearby South Dakota. Sponsored by Christ Lutheran LeMara St Johns Akron and St Johns Craig, the event showcased 31 calves and 34 girls exhibits to prepare youth for the Plymouth County 4-H Fair.
