Westfield 4-H Cloverettes Meet for All Day Workshop

Westfield Cloverettes gathered at Carla Johnson home on Wednesday August 6 for an all day meeting. Erla Beth Schoep led with the 4-H pledge and Carla Johnson demonstrated patching overalls. The remainder of the day focused on finishing fair projects with Winifred Schoenfelder in charge of recreation.

Cloverettes Hold Local Achievement Show at Johnson Home

On Friday evening August 14 the Cloverettes gathered at Carla Johnsons home for a Local Achievement Show. Garments were judged by Misa Dorothy Milbrodt and Mrs Jorville Stinton. The demonstration team Marianne Schoep and Winifred Schoenfelder later presented a demonstration for the fair on Wednesday August 19.

Dairy Princess Donna Schneider Named by National Dairy Club Congress

Donna Schneider daughter of Mr and Mrs Wm Schneider of Preston Pearls 4 H Club was chosen Dairy Princess at the National Dairy Club Congress in Waterloo Iowa to be held September 27 to October 1. Fourteen contestants from northwest Town counties competed with Donna chosen for beauty accomplishments poise personality and talent. She and her mother receive an expense free trip to the Dairy Congress where she will reign. Princess Donna is president of the Plymouth County 4 H Girls.

Portland Pals 4-H Meeting Highlights August 14

Ten members of the Portland Pals gathered at assistant leader Mrs. Melvin Jolson’s home on Friday evening August 14. Each girl presented her project to six mothers and two visitors. After tagging articles for the fair, a dessert served by Mrs. Westadt accompanied by remarks from reporter Harlyne Adams. A note ends with a small Want Column ad suggestion for good results.
