Westfield council met August 7 at 7 p.m. with Mayor W. B. Neal presiding. Allied Service of Akron will inspect water meters to be installed or changed starting Tuesday. Arnold Hummel will remove an old house soon. Meetings will be on the first of each month unless a Sunday or holiday shifts them. Minutes, treasurer, sewer reports and bills were approved. Obituary: Milton E. Ericson 69 of Akron and Mesa dies
Milton E. Ericson 69 of Akron and Mesa died unexpectedly of a heart attack Saturday August 10 at his Battle Lake Minnesota summer home. Funeral services were held August 14 at Union Creek Lutheran Church Akron with Rev. David Roy officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under Schroeder Funeral Home Akron guidance. Survivors include widow Margaret Hamilton two sons Arlo of St. Joseph Missouri and Roger of San Francisco five grandchildren and three sisters Evelyn Waterman of Akron Wilma Claeys of Sioux City and Miriam Enochson of Sioux City.
