Iowest 4 H Club Holds Special Meeting at Hall
Special meeting of the Iowest 4 H Club was held at the Westfield Community Hall July 27. Seven teeners members answered roll call and filled out entry blanks for the Fair. Our club entries for the Fair will be about 21 baby beeves, one beef heifer, two market pigs, and three dairy heifers. Jimmy Ross and Keith Swanson will represent Iowest in the demonstration contest with David Lilly assisting. Reporter Bill Michael.

Hay fever season threatens over eight million Americans
The Iowa State Department of Health warns that ragweed pollen, especially in Iowa, will trigger hay fever from mid August to first frost. Remedies include allergy medicines and air filters or air conditioners. A physician should tailor treatment. shots can reduce sensitivity but require yearly, lengthy, costly schedules.

Complications from hay fever may lead to infections in the ears nose throat and sinuses. One of every three hay fever victims also suffers asthma which can cause permanent bronchial trouble. It emphasizes the need to be under physician care.

Died Isaac Miller of Chatsworth a well known liveryman died July 81 1911 after an appendectomy in a Sioux City hospital aged 70 years. Survivors include wife Amanda and daughter Maude. funeral in Chatsworth with burial in Akron Riverside cemetery. Akron baseball team lost 10 to 2 at LeMars, Fred Webber pitched well but weak team support. Births include a daughter to Arthur Gabel July 28 1911 a son to Ernest Ostrom July 29 1911 a son to Watson July 31 1911 and a daughter to John Gilbert August 11 1911.
