Peace Settlement Nears End of Nationwide Rail Strike

Peace terms have been agreed in the nationwide rail strife and formal ratification is assured through President Harding. The remaining step is endorsement by railway executives and strike leaders meeting in New York and Chicago. Nosedive Fatal for Two Aboard Plane Crash

Senate approves higher almond candy duties in 87 to 14 vote

Better Roads Standardization Urged for Bridges

Bridges on improved roads widen to handle more traffic

Engineers of the Bureau of Public Roads state 18 foot wide bridges are being built on improved roads after finding 12 and 16 foot spans too narrow. The narrow bridges limit traffic to a single line and fail to safely accommodate two lanes.
