RL Rev James Hugh Ryan is named rector of the Catholic University of America succeeding Bishop Ep Homagi Sha Kan who resigned after a long tenure. Born in Indianapolis in 1886, Ryan is about forty. The university, a leading Catholic institution in the Western hemisphere, confirms the appointment by Pope Pius X.
