Akron Register-Tribune reports Easter Sunrise service at Westfield Congregational Church drew about sixty attendees with MYFs from Akron Methodist Church leading worship and a brass quartet. Westfield Pilgrim Fellowship prepared and served a breakfast. Former resident Mrs. Bradburn, a former local teacher, was recalled. Westfield and area students placed second in a music contest at Sergeant Bluff with two groups, Girls Sextet and Boys Double Quartet, led by Miss Lease and pupils. Upcoming mixed chorus plans for Whiting on May 5.

Westfield Hosts 26th Annual Art Exhibit With Pederson Awards
Westfield school held its 26th annual Art Exhibit on Friday April 18. Sioux City Art supervisor Miss Margaret Pederson judged entries from Kindergarten to grade high. She spoke on arts education and described artist as creator in many forms not just painting. Blue ribbon winners were announced as teachers described varied art experiences. Tea, guest book, and homemade cookies supported proceeds for the Library. Awards listed in order of presentation.
