Westfield School Art Exhibit Highlights Student Craft
The Westfield Community School held its art exhibit April 16 with a PTA business session electing officers Mavis Bye president Mary Beech vice president Donna Jones secretary Maxine Smith treasurer. A musical program followed with performances by the beginners band clarinet quartet fifth grade chorus Dixie Arnett Niki Horsley Sheryl Banks Carla McInnis and fourth grade flutophones. Graduation pins and certificates were awarded. the exhibit showcased Kindergarten through eighth grade works. University of South Dakota art major Miss Sue Beuck offered constructive critique urging art to educate as well as please and noting strong student craftsmanship and media exploration.
