Union County Highway Improvements Noted
Union county highway officials announce multiple projects to begin when weather allows. County Road 16 will be rebuilt from County Road 2 to U.S. Highway 77, six miles resurfaced with gravel. A bridge west of RosenIechard was widened to twenty feet and relocated to align with the creek. Oil projects include a re tread on County Road 10 from Elk Point to the Clay county line, and four miles of asphalt removal on Alcester north to the county line with a five inch gravel base. Blotter asphalt reseal from Spink to Highway 7 is planned for five miles, plus about 1.5 miles of new blotter asphalt on County Road 3 from Akron to the hilltop. County Road 25 will receive another lift of gravel.
