A letter from Mrs Harlan Allen reports an illness siege this spring with their son Kirk suffering mumps then flu while Mr Allen faced serious flu requiring a nurse. After nineteen days Mrs Allen herself contracted mumps but says she is recovering. A boy born to Mr and Mrs Wesley Park at St Joseph hospital Sioux City on March 31. Mother Lucille Maloney Park and child in good health. Mr and Mrs Dave Cassel visited Westfield neighbors Friday and Saturday.
