The Rural Home Culture club of Akron hosted the Plymouth county convention of Federated Women’s clubs on Tuesday March 26 at Trinity Lutheran church Akron. Attendance reached 115. Theme was When You Care Enough. The district director urged members to write Iowa legislators about ADC aid, farm business influence, and the CEO program. Speaker Mrs Kerstine Wolle discussed probation work in Sioux City and urged care for others. New officers for two years were installed: Mrs R C Hodgson Le Mars county chairman, Mrs Jerold Dykstra Akron vice chair, Mrs Reynard Satory Le Mars secretary, and Mrs Elmer Atwood Le Mars treasurer.
Local extension homemakers in Elk Point area invite WALL members to Alcester Bank Basement on Thursday April 4 at 1 30 p m to discuss common decorating issues such as odd window sizes corners storage and room arrangement. Attendees should bring dimensions or a photo for group problem solving with possible solutions. Ride assistance available.

Mary Bear and a string of visitors from Jefferson, Westfield, Remsen and Sioux City called on residents including Margaret Krenz, Gertrude Ross, Lizzie Gibbons, and Bettina Williams. Church group activities, birthday celebrations, and Easter decor marked the day alongside several hospital and home visits. William Jammerthal died, prompting condolences as residents enjoyed an Easter egg tree display.
