The notice states the town will grant licenses for spirituous liquors at $80 a year with advance payment. Applicants must petition the Town Council, post a $500 bond with two freehold sureties, and bind themselves to maintain an orderly house and comply with state and town liquor laws. The bond includes a sworn oath not to sell to minors or allow Sabbath violations.
