Aiken Rotary clubs to hand out dictionaries to third graders
More than 2,000 third graders will receive dictionaries this week thanks to Aiken County Rotary clubs. About 30 volunteers packed the books with Rotary four way test on the inside cover and will distribute to public and private schools Friday. Sunrise Rotary and local leaders credit Mary French for starting the national project in the late 1990s and note reading built from dictionaries aids education.
