Clear Skies Ahead With Cooler Temperatures Forecast
After a week of wet, muggy weather the National Weather Service predicts clear skies and cooler nights with mid 60s lows and mid 80s highs through Thursday. Tropical Storm Lili threatens Jamaica and Haiti and may impact South Carolina later in the week with possible rain. Forecasters expect Lili to become a hurricane by Monday and project landfall in western Cuba before weakening into the Gulf. In Jamaica, 12 people in St. Catherine’s central parish moved to an emergency shelter after flooding.

Final Farewell for Aiken Community Playhouse After 30 Years
Friends and volunteers packed the Two-Notch theater for a bittersweet farewell as the Aiken Community Playhouse closes its 30 year home. ACP officials recalled early days performing in schools and barns while preparing for the new facility, with over 250 memberships sold for the upcoming 2002 2008 season and a Footloose debut on October 18 and 19 in downtown Aiken.
