Heated discussion at Aiken County school board over survey issue

Local woman on a mission for others
Shirley Phillips of Aiken County is headed to Thailand to fulfill a lifelong missionary dream. The 30-year Latter-day Saints member will undergo two weeks of Thai language instruction in Utah before an 18-month welfare services mission in Bangkok assisting humanitarian efforts.
