Shane McCall 23 of Martinez was charged with two counts of shoplifting and one count of simple larceny after stealing from two businesses on Belvedere Clearwater Road and near a restaurant. He denied wrongdoing, claimed the laptop found in his bag belonged to him, and remained in detention Thursday morning.
Aiken police report an altercation at Paces Run apartments where a man bit part of the 25 year old victim’s ear during a confrontation over harassment of the victim’s sister. The victim refused to press charges and officers noted the ear tip was missing at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Witnesses identified a suspect.
A 26 year old Aiken man faces criminal domestic violence charges after pushing his girlfriend to the ground and grabbing her neck during a cell phone dispute. A separate DUI arrest occurred on South Boundary Avenue after erratic driving and failing field tests with a 0 percent BAC. Other reports include vandalism on Morton Avenue, a stolen cellphone from Aiken High locker room, a claim of theft of a television, burglaries on Rainbow Falls Road and Lizard Lane, and vehicle break ins on Old Carline Road Bailey Drive and Nickeltop Road with a shotgun missing noted.
