Sudan Series invites Mark Bixler to speak on Lost Boys tale
Mark Bixler author of The Lost Boys of Sudan will discuss the refugee journey and suffering of thousands of young Africans at First Presbyterian Church during a Sunday luncheon and presentation at noon. The event closes the Sudan Series honoring Trinity Presbytery's 19 years of mission work in Sudan with worship services, a guest sermon, and a book signing. Reservations are encouraged by calling the church office and copies of the book will be sold at the luncheon.

Man charged with solicitation of minor in Georgia
A 29 year old Georgia man, Jeffery Samuel Mells from Sardis, traveled to Aiken County to meet a 14 year old girl for sex. Arrest warrants say he was intercepted at a prearranged location and charged with second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and solicitation of a minor. The arrest followed an investigation with the South Carolina Attorney General's Office and the sheriff's office. Police also report a burglary at Houndslake Country Club as an alarm triggered around 1 am. Two cash registers containing money were taken. no other damage noted as officers investigate.
