Woman Gets Year for Fatal Hit and Run
An Aiken County woman Ginger Carpenter received a one year jail sentence after pleading guilty to leaving the scene of an accident involving a death. The incident occurred May 22 2008 on Storm Branch Road when her 1997 Ford Exhibition struck James Alan Cohrs killing him.

Man pulls gun at drive-through in Wagener incident
A Wagener man, Jonathan R. Corley, 35, allegedly pointed a black handgun at another motorist after a near collision at a McDonald’s on Whiskey Road in Aiken. Officers found about 70 counterfeit CDs and DVDs in his car and charged him with driving under suspension and unlawfully carrying a pistol.
