Solons Oppose Federal Nuclear Waste Plan in South Carolina
South Carolina lawmakers led by Rep. Harriet Keyserling and Sen. Alex Sanders pressed against federal moves to store foreign and domestic high level nuclear waste in the state. They warned South Carolina would become a national and world waste dump, urging lawmakers to block the plan and keep storage at federal sites.
