Derrick to join Clinton impeachment defense
Former South Carolina congressman Butler Derrick says he is among ex-lawmakers being recruited by the Clinton administration to help defuse impeachment talks. He accepted the invitation to discuss forming a defense group, stressing the presidency is in jeopardy.

County ends nine year search for man owing child support
Aiken County deputies, aided by Beaufort authorities, arrested Lucius William Corley 45 of The Oaks Hilton Head Island for failing to pay more than 56000 in child support to Jean Giles of Augusta for three daughters. He has owed 54889.56 plus a 3 percent penalty totaling 56536.24. He has been pursued since the early 1990s with sightings last in April 1996. Corley is held in the Aiken County Detention Center with 25000 cash bond. The civil process division pursued the case across Georgia Tennessee and Florida before Tuesday’s arrest.

Robinson transfers approved by Aiken County Board
