City Follows Finalized Agreement on Cable Channel Policy
Johnson said the company completed a serious review of the adult channel issue before finalizing the agreement. He noted no adult channel in current systems and acknowledged concerns about adult services while stopping short of promising removal or retention. The council discussed free cable for schools and hospitals, with Johnson stating cable would not be run to a school a mile from the nearest line given the $10,000 per mile cost. The council deemed such free expansion infeasible for business reasons.
