Jury Indicts Petroleum Exec in South Carolina
A Richland County grand jury indicted former executive director David W. Reed on 43 counts of breach of trust with fraudulent intent. Investigators say he misappropriated about $114,000 by writing on the association account and funneling funds to his bank or to pay debts, following an association audit. Reed allegedly took $2,111 previously to cover his daughter's USC fees.

A circuit judge issued a restraining order preventing Greenville man Max Hedglin from contacting his ex girlfriend Bonnie Adams or planning further birthday stunts. Hedglin had previously dropped 2500 carnations from a helicopter onto Adams's lawn and planned a 1976 Ford Torino bouquet gift. He also filed for divorce and said he might run for Seneca city council.
