Officials say refinancing lowers costs on new South Carolina reactors

SCANA Corp CEO Kevin Marsh said a fixed price financing deal for the V C Summer Nuclear Station project reduces future charges to customers. The ninth rate increase request would total about 846 million in cost overruns, pushing total project costs near 14 billion dollars as regulators weigh the measure.

Paul Knox Gets Boost From Lowe’s Heroes

Paul Knox Middle School benefited from a Lowe’s Heroes volunteer project. A team built five raised planters including a wheelchair friendly bed, painted the main sign, and spruced the courtyard. The beds will support STEM learning as students plant and monitor growth.
