County Maps Road Network for Unified County Road System
Aiken County plans a comprehensive base map showing all 1 097 square miles of roads. Draftsmen drive each road to estimate length and determine maintenance. Public hearings may name roads consistently. The map will aid post office school buses and law enforcement with a grid based dispatch system and future computer vehicle tracking.
