NERDS Book Series Roots in North Augusta ERDS
National Espionage Rescue and Defense Society stories originate with North Augusta and Hammond Hill Elementary School in South Carolina. Michael Buckley created the first NERDS book in 2009, inspired by local students and their character parade, with a dedication to Nikki Mock Janet Vaughan and Hammond Hill Elementary.
