Two Black male suspects forced entry, restrained him with a pillowcase, beat him causing dental damage, and stole watches pens and about 80 dollars plus narcotics. Police say the incident is unconnected to a separate Monday night attack on an elderly woman.

Chitty Salary To Continue After County Council Decision

Aiken County Council kept Magistrate Lester L. Chitty paid for two months or until his criminal case is resolved, while the remainder of the salary referendum part of the budget ordinance was repealed. North Augusta Magistrate B E Nichols will handle duties in Chitty's absence. The council voted unanimously and discussed the matter in executive session after an earlier public hearing. Teen Alcohol Abuse Rising Warns Local Official

Terry Brown of the Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse told Optimist Club members that teen drinking is increasing.
