Wanted man linked to shooting in Aiken
Police identify Travis L. McKie 26 of Damon Street as the gunman in a Sept 7 Old Airport Road shooting that injured Devin Williams 18 and linked him to a later assault case. McKie faces charges of assault with intent to kill and gun possession, with a $75,000 bond.

Health Center offers free screenings in Clearwater lunch lecture
The Margaret J Weston Community Health Center hosted a Tuesday Take a Loved One for a Checkup Day featuring blood pressure and blood sugar checks, health information from MJW Lincare and others, and a talk by Dr Eric Schlueter on diabetes. CEO Dr James Coleman Jr said the event promotes prevention and screening as a national initiative and another Lunch & Lecture is planned next month.
