NWTF pivots operations as CEO Humphries reshapes plan
Under CEO Heather Humphries the National Wild Turkey Federation reassesses an $18 million Hunting Heritage and Outdoor Education Center project on its Augusta campus. Plans for a Palmetto Shooting Complex and other facilities are paused as market conditions and donor needs shift. The organization downsized 17 staff after closing the Turkey Shoppe, while evaluating Kendall Mill for future use. Humphries, former Ducks Unlimited executive, emphasizes efficiency, tech upgrades, and growth of 235000 members while pursuing Save the Habitat Save the Hunt goals.
