SRNL wins sixth R&D 100 award for MilliWave Thermal Analyzer
Savannah River National Laboratory researchers led by Gene Daniel and Don Miller win an R&D 100 Award for the MilliWave Thermal Analyzer. The device uses millimeter wave radiation for non contact real time measurements of temperature energy emitted and material changes under extreme conditions. The project involved MIT and PNNL partners and DOE funding spanning eight years, with applications from glass melters to industrial processes.
