Tornado Hits Near Jackson Damages at Cowden Plantation
A tornado touched down near Jackson injuring an Aiken man amid storms yesterday. The Cowden Plantation owned by J. M. Brown and J. K. Jarrett southeast of Jackson suffered about 25 000 in damage as barns and trees were wrecked. Jarrett described a thunderous sound as the storm hit. Two barns were destroyed and several roofs damaged. Damages totaled 10 000 to buildings and 15 000 to trees and land.
