Cops: Drug suspects found hiding in attic in Aiken
Police serving a search warrant at a Archdale Drive home last Thursday arrested two men on drug charges. Paul Wright 36 of Beech Island faced meth possession and giving false information to police. Michael Miles 33 of Archdale Drive faced marijuana possession and bench warrants. Wright hid in the attic and Miles was found under insulation. A cocaine residue and meth were recovered along with a rolled dollar bill and a possible marijuana cigarette.

Brianna Sharice Harris, 21, of Catawba Street, was detained on third degree assault and battery after a fight at Eustis Park. Police found brass knuckles allegedly used in the melee and Harris was placed in the Aiken County detention center as the incident unfolded Monday afternoon.

IRS scam steals nearly $9 thousand from woman
A 55 year old woman in Aiken County was bilked of 8894 dollars by two men posing as an IRS agent and a county deputy. The caller threatened jail and a warrant for arrest unless payment was made immediately. The victim bought eight gift cards totaling 8894 dollars and revealed the activation numbers by phone.
