Belvedere and Aiken Deaths and Funerals Notice
Alice Marie Mathews 58 of Belvedere died Sunday in a Richmond County hospital. Memorial services are set for 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Belvedere First Baptist Church. Kenneth Lee Lybrand 26 of Aiken died Monday in an area hospital. Funeral is 5 p.m. tomorrow at Memorial Baptist Church with burial at Aiken Memorial Park. Both arrangements are handled by Poseys and George Funeral Homes respectively.

Courthouse Plans Move Ahead With Appraisers Hope
Carroll H. Warner chairs a council meeting where Trapp and Fay Hatcher opposed the plan and Hill abstained. First reading approved funding for six appraisers for the tax assessor's office at 48 627.36 to finish the reappraisal by June 1981. A special meeting is set for tomorrow at 8 to speed second reading in the 736 Richland Ave offices. Hill also seeks two clerks for the Clerk of Court to handle DSS workload. two positions created to replace cuts. The council also approved 500 for the Aiken County Recreation Commission with 27 000 from general funds on first reading.

Proposed Aiken County Courthouse Plan Draws Three Site Options
The plan outlines three possible sites for a new courthouse on Richland Avenue and Vaucluse Road within the Aiken County Complex. A three story, 55 100 square foot building would include five ground floor entrances two stairways two walkways one elevator and restrooms on each floor with the courtroom on the first floor for accessibility.
