SRNL researchers and Toyota Technical Center USA will pursue a five year cooperative research and development agreement to develop hydrogen storage materials for automotive use. The effort includes low cost high capacity lightweight materials and methods to reduce sensitivity to air and moisture. Toyota funds 2 million over two years with SRNL receiving about half. The collaboration leverages SRNL’s decades of hydrogen expertise and aims to advance storage, materials, and related technologies for future energy needs.
