Missouri cave with ancient Native American drawings sold
In Sallon Missouri a cave with over 250 prehistoric glyphs and murals dating more than seven millennia was sold at auction for about 22 million dollars. The site known as Picture Cave sits near Warrenton and is valued for its sacred indigenous art and history. The Osage Nation expressed heartbreak and scholars urged preservation as the private owners transfer the land to a new buyer who declined to be named.
