After a 30 minute delay due to lightning Northwestern's Jared Neely opened with a kickoff return to the North Augusta 2 yard line. The Trojans sealed the win when Chris Long intercepted Marcus Thurmond in the final minutes as North Augusta failed to finish a late drive. Murphy threw for 96 yards a touchdown and two interceptions. Thurmond hauled in a 29 yard TD to put the Trojans ahead.
