First West Nile death reported in Anderson County
An Anderson County resident died from West Nile Virus marking the year’s first fatality in the state. DHEC reports seven human cases statewide with related detections in birds and mosquitoes. Emergency crews conducted door to door notices, area spraying, and mosquito mitigation within a half mile radius.
