Outdoors report notes strong fishing at Clark Hill and nearby lakes
Fair to good success for anglers at Clark Hill Lake and Lake Murray with largemouth bass on topwater lures and plastic worms, crappie on minnows, white bass, bream on flyrods, and bottom catfishing yielding large catches. Topographic maps of Clark Hill are offered for 2.25 dollars. Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie show steady bass and crappie fishing while offshore saltwater action slows. A North Carolina South Carolina Challenge Memorial Bass Tournament is planned for October 6 to aid families of deceased anglers, with new life jacket regulations taking effect October 1.
