Police blotter highlights local thefts and arrests
The Aiken Department of Public Safety reports theft from a truck on Richland Avenue with a cell phone, books, and stereo equipment taken. A 16 year old was arrested after being seen dropping cigarettes in a market incident. A Wagener teen was jailed for drunk driving, marijuana possession, and minor in possession after erratic driving. Several burglaries and thefts are noted on Richland Avenue, Bridge Creek Road, Sadie Drive, Frontage Road, and Columbia Highway. One shooting was reported on S C 278, with no injuries.
