Rear Admiral Chuck Munns recalls 9/11 while stationed in Naples 15 years ago. NATO, U.S. submarine forces, and Enduring Freedom activities shaped a rapid security response and intensified international cooperation. He later led all U.S. submarine forces before retiring to Aiken in 2008.
