Project Jackson plaintiff appeals ruling in North Augusta
Steve Donohue of the River Club files a Sept 2 appeal after Judge J Ernest Kinard ruled Aug 20 in favor of the City of North Augusta on Project Jackson. The 457 acre development between the River Club and Hammond's Ferry neighbors may include a hotel stores and a baseball stadium funded by a Tax Increment Financing district. Donohue argued the amended ordinance last November lacked state law compliance due to no blight findings and no evidence values would stay static or fall without intervention.
