South Airien High cheerleader Pat Johnson watches the team play Silver Bluff High as autumn football fever grips students and fans. Cheerleaders baton twirlers bands and flag corps train in camps and workshops and display talents every Friday night in Aiken County stadiums across the state.
Incumbent mayor Thomas B. Brady was re elected in Williston with 463 votes. Incumbent councilmen A J Grove Rudy Starnes were re elected and newcomer Don Bodiford won a seat. Norman Widener Francis Flynn and Neil Adcox were defeated. All terms run four years.
The Clemson Extension Service offers a workshop titled Walls Made Beautiful on Thursday September 12 at 7 30 p m at the Aiken County Agricultural Services Center 1555 Richland Ave East Aiken. Registration is by calling 649-6911.
