Archaeology finds at George Bush Plantation site near Savannah River
A 1995 survey uncovered two collapsed chimneys and nine brick piers from a former plantation house once owned by George Bush and his son. Artifacts included a weathered spoon and decorated plate fragments. A 9:30 am public tour is offered on Wednesday September 23 with free admission and pre registration by calling George Wingard at 725-3724.
