Reports from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and Aiken Department of Public Safety describe numerous incidents. They include unlawful carrying of a weapon after a speeding stop on I 20 in Batesburg, thefts ranging from vehicle thefts on Fairway Farm Road and Laurens Street to grand larceny charges, vandalism such as tire slashing on York Street, break-ins on Tutt Street and Seymour Drive, and property theft including a broken fence and white powder found with a cigarette box. Additional reports note a jewelry or vehicle theft on West Five Notch Road and a residential break-in on Nancy Lane with more than $5,000 in materials stolen, plus a disorderly conduct arrest at a York Street store.
