Aiken’s Makin Festival Opens Red Section Streets to Pedestrians
Traffic patterns restrict vehicular access for the two day Aiken’s Makin festival. Pay lot access is from Fairfield Street north while vendors line Park Avenue Friday and Saturday with music from Creek Carolina Shakers and the Savannah River Stringband. The festival runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Handicap parking is on Fairfield Street and the Visitor’s Center and Train Museum are open.
