Twitter lets Cedar Rapids patient’s surgery unfold online
Monna Cleary’s hysterectomy operation at St Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids was streamed via Twitter with 300 tweets from outside the sterile field. Her family followed in the waiting room and online, asking questions and learning about the procedure as surgeon Dr. Jerry Rozeboom used robotic equipment.
